Artist Statement

My work is influenced by textile design, scientific diagrams, and architectural structures. It is reliant on the simplicity inherent to abstraction. The work addresses the distance that can sometimes be felt within and between experiences, thoughts, and objects. It is an exploration of relationships between singular and repetitive actions, handmade and mechanically reproduced surfaces, decorative and functional objects, and personal and appropriated images.
